Reflexology is a powerful, wonderfully relaxing Complementary Therapy treatment and is suitable for people of all ages. Reflexology is a practice used to restore health and wellbeing to the body through gentle manipulation of either the feet or hands. There is evidence of some form of foot and hand therapy being practiced in China as long ago as 4,000 BC.
In 1917, Dr William Fitzgerald published a book called, ‘Zone Therapy or Relieving Pain at Home’. Based on his work, a lady called Eunice Ingham, who worked as a Therapist, started to develop her foot Reflexology theory in the early 1930’s. It is the Original Ingham Method® of Reflexology that I practice.
Here at Reflexology with Helen, I work with you to understand and focus on what you need from Reflexology to enhance your health and wellbeing.
The world is such a fast moving place at times and we don’t always take that much needed time out for ourselves. Did you know that around 70% of all the world’s illnesses and ailments could be down to stress?
See how my relaxing treatments can help you with;
✓ Improved relaxation
✓ Improved sleep
✓ Improved mood
✓ Increased feeling of wellbeing
✓ Releasing tension
By identifying and tackling the early signs of stress, Reflexology can help to prevent it escalating into potentially serious health problems, such as high blood pressure, anxiety and depression. It is advisable that you consult your GP to ensure that any symptoms of stress are not linked to an underlying medical condition.
Important to note: Reflexology should never be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice. Please discuss Reflexology as a complementary therapy with your GP or health consultant.
